Christina Ong is a visionary trailblazing pioneer in the field of image consulting in Asia, having clocked 25 years of experience. Through her dedicated work with thousands of private and corporate clients, she has gained the well-earned reputation for being an exceptional trainer and someone who is truly committed to creating extraordinary results.
Spurred on by her 12-year corporate career in PR, marketing and business development, Christina founded ImageWorks in 1995, which is a trusted group-based image training firm providing regional corporate clients across multiple industries, including MNCs, local SMEs, ministries and top universities. She has shown by example that it is possible to learn image competencies and develop an entrepreneurial mindset to become a sought-after corporate image management trainer, speaker and executive coach. Christina continues to coach senior executives and captains of industry as the founding consultant of ImageWorks.
In 2005, she established the Academy of Image Mastery (AIM) to provide aspiring image consultants in Asia access to AICI CEU-approved educational image courses in English and Mandarin in Singapore, Hong Kong and China.
A member of the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI) since 1995, Christina has set the bar at the highest standards in promoting the profession of image consulting. She established the AICI Singapore Chapter as its first President and was awarded the prestigious Jane Segerstrom Award in 2007 for her contribution to the profession of image consulting globally. Despite the countless hours invested in AICI volunteer positions, Christina kept sharpening the saw through continuous education and professional certification while growing her clientele.
In 2008, Asia welcomed AICI’s first Certified Image Master as Christina became one of the first Asian to be recognised as AICI CIMs in the world – the industry’s highest level of recognition. In 2012, she was elected to AICI’s international board to serve as VP Education where she successfully introduced web-based learning through AICI Webinars, giving members access to CEU-approved education from anywhere in the world.
Christina championed for global standards of image and etiquette training and testing for executives in the corporate sector. In 2011, she co-founded IITTI – the Institute of Image Training and Testing International, now renamed as the International Soft Skills Standards and Testing – in collaboration with an international team of image consultants and technology experts. Her mission is to support more image consultants to enhance the value of corporate training services through IITTI’s international certification team.
These extraordinary milestones are the footprints in the sand of Christina’s vision to promote the highest standards for herself and every image consultant as we service clients in our communities. At the core of her work is a deep desire to bring out the best in people. She has done so by dedicating her work to empower people with a sense of confidence and joy in pursuing their purpose-driven lives.
